Compare the room you will actually book, the shared facilities and the distance to the camp's meeting point rather than relying on a few attractive photographs.

Surf-camp accommodation can range from a bed in a shared room to a private apartment associated with an operator. The word 'camp' does not establish the sleeping arrangement. Read the room category on your quote and ask which photographs show that category. A picture of the nicest room on the property may not represent the space included in the base package.
Begin with the people travelling. A solo visitor may value a social common area but prefer a quieter sleeping room. Friends may want separate beds rather than a shared double. State those requirements explicitly, including whether the bathroom is private or shared.
Ask about bedding, towels, laundry access and the place for wet surf equipment. Check whether the room has secure storage for personal belongings and what you need to bring. Do not infer a locker from a photograph of an open shelf.
If you expect to prepare food, confirm access to the kitchen and any restrictions on hours or storage. A communal kitchen can be useful, but it may not be included for every room category. Ask what meals are already part of the package before buying groceries around an assumption.
Consider noise and shared-space rules. Find out whether evening activities occur near sleeping rooms and whether quiet hours are stated. A lively common area may be welcome without meaning you want music outside your door late at night.
Check where lessons or transfers start relative to the accommodation. 'Near the beach' can describe a scenic location without explaining the walk to the meeting point. Ask about the route, not only the distance, particularly if you will carry equipment or return after dark.
Confirm arrival arrangements and what happens if transport is delayed. Obtain the check-in contact and instructions in a form you can access offline. If the room is in a separate building, make sure the address and key collection point are both clear.
Before paying, save the room description, occupancy, included facilities and any agreed requests with the quote. Compare the total for the exact room you want rather than the lowest advertised package price. The accommodation is where much of the holiday happens between sessions, so its ordinary details deserve as much attention as the surf photographs.
